In principle and in practice, SESEC is NOT a classical symposium but a platform for promoting concrete projects, project consortiums and identifying new sources of finance. The  SESEC  Committee believes that across the world economic growth will  increasingly depend on  the ability to coordinate  solutions to social challenges such as preserving a healthy environment, promoting energy savings, improving life-quality and providing healthy and abundant food for everyone.

SESEC IX  will  present ‘Best Practice’  projects whose positive results demonstrate the benefits of adopting an integrated approach. SESEC IX will also help with the organization and development of new  projects at the  local level, the creation of new jobs and the promotion of a more sustainable approach to the environment.
