The aquama® system naturally transforms water into specific solutions for cleaning or disinfection. Once used, these are recycled into water, oxygen and salt. A concrete application of the saying "nothing is lost, nothing is created, everything is transformed".

Since its creation in 2013, the Vaud-based SME aquama® has been developing natural and ecological solutions, using the hydrolysis process. Specifically, this principle breaks down water (H2O) into oxygen (O2) and hydrogen (H), thanks to an electric power. To develop these solutions, the company adopts the principles of the circular economy, in particular the 3E approach, which supports the development of environmentally friendly, efficient and economical products.

The aquama® solution is the first product derived from hydrolysis that fulfills both the function of detergent, but also that of disinfectant. This has allowed the company to differentiate itself in its industry. These solutions replace between 70 and 80% of the usual detergents and disinfectants. They also significantly reduce its carbon footprint, compared to using other similar products.

aquama® has been working hard to offer an original economic concept for the distribution of its products. The company offers two options: customers can create their own solution using a small, battery-powered machine or purchase from dispensers made available in many public places through the aquama® app. This avoids the need to transport and store goods and promotes short supply chains!
