TorPower
The TorPower process: energy conversion of biomass to cover peak electricity consumption in winter.
In December and January, there is a strong increase in the demand for electricity, which cannot be covered solely by the renewable energy sources available on the market.
For several years, Switzerland has been committed to climate protection and wants to gradually replace fossil fuels with renewable energy.
Aware of this problem, the young start-up TorPower wants to act on its own scale by proposing a sustainable technology that converts forestry, agricultural, vineyard and fruit-growing residues into electricity and heat. A way to contribute favorably to the energy transition.
