This marks the commencement of an exciting collaboration with two distinguished eco-explorers, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/bertrandpiccard\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Bertrand Piccard<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/rapha%C3%ABl-dinelli-86110a25\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Raphael Dinelli<\/a>, the innovative minds behind the groundbreaking project<\/strong><br\/><\/p>\n\n<p>\u00abWe are thrilled and honoured to be selected by 49 SUD to work on the propulsion.\u00bb said Jean-Fran\u00e7ois WEBER, Managing Director at GreenGT \u00abOur long experience in the development of advanced fuel cell solutions will contribute to sustainable aviation technology, and we are eager to play a part in the success of this mission along with esteemed partners.\u00bb<br\/><\/p>\n\n<p>In 2028, CLIMATE Impulse plans to complete the first non-stop round-the-world-flight in a<br\/>green hydrogen-powered airplane, showcasing the possibilities of sustainable aviation and<br\/>environmentally-friendly technologies. The major technological challenges<br\/>are building an aircraft around two liquid hydrogen tanks, maintaining the temperature at -253\u00b0C and powering electric motors through fuel cells.<br\/><\/p>\n\n<p>Key characteristics of the fuel cell systems encompass airworthiness with a power output of 2 x 200 kW, at the highest efficiency level and weight power ratio of the market. Syensqo, the main partner of the CLIMATE Impulse project, will support GreenGT in achieving record breaking power density through the supply of innovative materials.<br\/><\/p>\n\n<p>GreenGT looks forward to the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead in the development of the CLIMATE Impulse airplane, leveraging its expertise in fuel cell engineering and sustainable powertrains, particularly in the innovative utilisation of liquid hydrogen.
