The Top100 Swiss Startup Award<\/a> celebrates its 15th anniversary this year, marking a decade and a half of highlighting Switzerland’s most promising startups. Launched in 2011 as a simple ranking, the Top100 has become one of the country’s most influential innovation platforms, offering events for investors, targeted meetings, a magazine published in five languages, and an active community of founders, investors, and industry experts. Since its inception, 638 startups have been recognized, attracting CHF 17.8 billion in venture capital and creating 20,870 jobs. This year, Corintis, DePoly, and DeepJudge occupy the top spots in the Top100 Swiss Startup Ranking 2025. The cleantech sector ranks second with 18 representatives, just behind biotech (20).

<\/strong>Beyond the numbers, the Top 100 identified companies such as Climeworks, GetYourGuide, MindMaze, On, Scandit, and Sophia Genetics early on, which have become global leaders with an international presence, strategic partnerships, and a combined valuation of several billion dollars. The ranking also recorded 100 acquisitions and 10 IPOs, demonstrating that early-stage innovation can lead to global recognition.

\u201cThe Top 100 shows that startups are a strategic investment for Switzerland, not only in financial terms, but also in terms of training the next generation of global leaders and fulfilling a moral duty towards future generations,<\/em>\u201d emphasizes Jordi Montserrat<\/a>, co-founder and Managing Partner of Venturelab.

Top 100 Swiss Startup Award 2025 ranking: Corintis, DePoly, and DeepJudge in the lead<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The Top100 ranking highlights the 100 Swiss startups with the greatest potential. Each year, a jury of 100 investors and experts (including our General Secretary) selects young companies that have been in business for less than five years. \u201cThe 2025 ranking reflects the strength, diversity, and innovation of the Swiss startup ecosystem,<\/em>\u201d says Stefan Steiner, director of the Top100 program. \u201cThese companies contribute directly and indirectly to the prosperity of our country in a rapidly changing world<\/em>.\u201d Switzerland stands out for its cutting-edge engineering startups, with artificial intelligence increasingly integrated into professional life and a strong commitment to sustainability. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Top 3 :<\/strong>

Corintis SA<\/strong> | Lausanne | www.corintis.com<\/a>
Corintis develops advanced cooling solutions for high-performance semiconductors. Using microfluidics, the startup improves the energy efficiency and performance of data centers and AI applications. Founded in Lausanne in 2021.

DePoly SA<\/strong> | Sion | www.depoly.ch<\/a>
DePoly offers a chemical recycling process that breaks down PET plastics and polyester textiles into raw materials at room temperature, promoting the circular economy. Founded in Sion in 2020.

DeepJudge <\/strong>AG | Zurich | www.deepjudge.io<\/a>
DeepJudge uses artificial intelligence to transform the work of law firms and legal departments, combining machine learning and legal expertise to optimize knowledge management. Founded in Zurich in 2021.

At the cantonal level, it comes as no surprise that Zurich (52 start-ups) and Vaud (20) rank highest, thanks to their proximity to federal polytechnic schools. Geneva (8) ranks third, ahead of Valais (7), Basel-Stadt (6), Fribourg (2), and Solothurn (2). <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The cleantech sector ranks second with 18 representatives, just behind biotech (20). Another interesting statistic: four startups from French-speaking Switzerland are in the top 5, three of which are active in the cleantech sector. Congratulations to Depoly<\/a> (2nd place, Valais startup), Voltiris<\/a> (4th place, Vaud startup), and Bloom Biorenewables<\/a> (5th place, Fribourg startup). <\/p>\n\n\n\n
