GRZ Technologies launches fundraising campaign to accelerate hydrogen technology expansion

Swiss cleantech company GRZ Technologies is raising funds through the Republic Europe crowdfunding platform. The initiative aims to support the company’s international expansion, reduce production costs and accelerate the industrialization of its next-generation hydrogen storage and compression systems.

Founded over nine years ago, GRZ Technologies develops and manufactures hydrogen storage and compression systems based on proprietary metal hydride technology. The company has evolved from advanced materials research to profitable hydrogen systems, with its products now operating in more than ten countries.

Over the years, GRZ has developed more than 300 material compositions, secured 13 international patent families and generated over €20 million in revenue. Backed by investors including Hyundai Motor Company, the company has also achieved positive EBIT year-to-date, marking an important milestone in its commercial development.

In 2026, GRZ Technologies was awarded the Watt d’Or in the Energy Technologies category by the Swiss Federal Office of Energy.

A fundraising campaign open to individual investors

To support its next phase of growth, GRZ Technologies has launched a fundraising campaign in collaboration with Republic Europe, a crowdfunding platform that enables individual investors to acquire shares in private companies through a special purpose vehicle (SPV).

Following an initial private investment phase, the campaign is scheduled to open to the public in early November and run throughout the month. Investments start at €30.64, allowing a broader community of investors to participate.

The funds raised will support three priorities: expansion into new markets, reduction of production costs for GRZ’s standard products, and industrialization of the company’s next generation of hydrogen systems.
