The 2nd Smart Energy Start-up Pitch Contest is launched!

Putting the spotlight on Switzerland’s best start-ups in the field of intelligent energy use: that’s the aim of the second Smart Energy Start-up Pitch Contest. This event will take place on August 30, as part of the 14th Smart Energy Event, on the Energypolis Campus in Sion. Applications to take part in this pitch are now open. Interested start-ups can register now at www.eventsmartenergy.ch/pitch-contest. CHF 9’000.- to be won!

A panel of judges will select ten or so start-ups, who will present their innovations to Smart Energy Event participants in just a few minutes. Three companies will be rewarded (best idea, best pitch and public prize), with a total prize of CHF 3,000. To participate, interested start-ups must have been founded after 2014 and be active in the energy sector. They can apply free of charge before June 7, 2024.

At the first Smart Energy Start-up Pitch Contest in August 2023, Clemap (Zurich), Beyond Scroll (Lausanne) and Urbio (Sion) were awarded prizes by the jury and the public. A panel of 10 start-ups presented themselves to the 180 or so participants at the Smart Energy Event.

The Ark Foundation and CleantechAlps, with the support of HES-SO Valais, FMV, Siemens, OIKEN, ElectroSuisse, EPFL and Venturelab, are organizing this event to showcase Switzerland’s rich economic fabric.
It is being organized in conjunction with the Smart Energy Event (August 29-30), a benchmark event in the field of intelligent energy management since 2011. This year, the latter will focus on the interdependencies generated by energy and how to find independence at all levels.
